Technical Advisory Committees

Technical Advisory CommitteesMASHA's Technical Advisory Committees (TACs) are teams of industry volunteers with expertise in specific areas. They provide advice to MASHA, by spotting significant issues and hazards, discussing the best ways to address them, and identifying best practices that already exist in the industry. The committees also play a crucial role in MASHA's research strategy, identifying gaps in what we know about issues or hazards, and monitoring research projects as they progress.

TACs' Mission

  1. To identify, evaluate and prioritize health and safety issues, and to recommend solutions for Ontario's mining and aggregates industries.
  2. To make recommendations on the development of health and safety programs.
  3. To review, evaluate and provide advice on projects and programs as requested by MASHA's Board of Directors or MASHA's General Manager.
  4. To provide resources for the development and delivery of educational materials.
