Equipment Visibility

1. Some of the hazards related to visibility are:
    
   •  Collisions between equipment and      ;
   • Collisions between equipment and other     or fixed objects;
      
   • Driving or backing past dump points, over drop offs or into open holes.
        
     
2. Make sure you know the hand or light    for communicating with other vehicles and pedestrians on your site.
    
3. Keep the windows and    on your equipment clean. Include them on your circle check.
        
4. Understand the limits to what you can see around your machine.  Is your vision blocked by a loaded     , the     cover or the cab posts?
   
5. Always be aware of the    zone around large equipment; whether you are the operator or on foot or in another vehicle nearby.
