MASHA is able to confirm that a fatal incident in the mining sector occurred at the Liberty Mines Redstone site on November 17, 2007. One person was fatally injured in an incident involving heavy equipment.
The incident is under investigation.
This report has been confirmed by two independent sources. However, the report is intended to provide early notification, and information may be at variance with official investigation reports.
