IRS Site Facilitator
The Internal Responsibility System is the foundation of workplace safety. Measuring the effectiveness of the IRS is vital to making it stronger. WSN's IRS survey is designed to help with this measurement. The first step in this process is choosing and training IRS site facilitator(s). The facilitator is selected by the company, and is responsible for overseeing the survey at the mine site: explaining the process to the workforce, distributing surveys, answering questions, gathering the completed surveys and returning them to WSN. WSN then analyses the results and sends a report back to the company.
The IRS Site Facilitator's course is a one-day program designed to introduce new facilitators to Phase Two of the IRS survey process. Participants will review the survey questions and administration of the survey. Participants should come prepared with an organizational chart for their own operations, including the number of employees at each level. It is strongly recommended that experienced facilitators attend at least the afternoon as a refresher session.
